Description

This Mouse Fibulin 3 (EFEMP1) ELISA Kit is intended for quantitative detection of mouse EFEMP1 in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Strip well format. Reagents for up to 96 tests.
This mouse EFEMP1 ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for EFEMP1 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (Expression system for standard: CHO, Immunogen sequence: Q18-F493 and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for EFEMP1 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the mouse EFEMP1 amount of sample captured in plate.
The capture antibody is a monoclonal antibody from rat, the detection antibody is a biotinylated polyclonal antibody from goat. Expression system for standard: EGF-containing fibulin-like extracellular matrix protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EFEMP1 gene. This gene encodes a member of the fibulin family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins. Like all members of this family, the encoded protein contains tandemly repeated epidermal growth factor-like repeats followed by a C-terminus fibulin-type domain. This gene is upregulated in malignant gliomas and may play a role in the aggressive nature of these tumors. Mutations in this gene are associated with Doyne honeycomb retinal dystrophy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode the same protein have been described
